Effects are sounds that underline the singer’s expression.
You can for example put a distortion a certain place in the phrase to express anger or surrender. There are nine different effects (distortion, creak, air add to the voice, vibrato, ornamentation technique, growl,screams, rattle and vocal breaks). Every effect is tailored to each singer taking into account the anatomy, physiology, shape, energy level and temper.
